As many of you know, I'm aiming to get 120MM clicks for my clients, or 100% YoY growth this year. So I've been looking at ways to fix all the Organic Search attribution drama. And what I found is simple for most SaaS: if a startup is not paying close attention, the attribution will made to the payment gateway (stripe or paypal), so you need to configure it properly. If you already did the setup, you should be able to track the conversions. These are the screens I check the most in GA4. Traffic Acquisition / Session source / Medium This is good to understand the the sources and effectiveness of the source of the traffic. Landing Pages Using the landing pages menu, I get to search by origin source (Google) and filter that out. I want to know which page they landed on via Google so that I can see the right attribution. However, this doesn't tell the full story, since "Not set" could also be attributed partly to organic (you can do a percentage based on all the other sources). There are easy ways to solve this, Google it and you'll find the response. Other tools If you're an indie hacker, there's also a nice way if you don't want to dig too much into this, just plug a product like datafa.st (aff link), which will tell you easily what's going on with your product. Example from their demo: Now, that's for the attribution part. Now, how do you assess the ROI? I'll share that in a following email soon. The highest ROI I've achieve for my businesses and clients comes from the Rank Enhancement Blueprint. It's an organized way to improve the already published content from websites. In short, this is what the process entails:

The Epicenter is your product or service. Imagine you own a pizza joint. You have a line of customers—are you sending them to your "pizza cooking classes"? No, you won't. You're selling pizza. Margarita or Pepperoni—take it or leave it. This is where you start, not on classes about healthy ingredients for pizza. The digital world is...
The Rank Enhancement is a simple process to help you rank higher for content published in the past. The whole idea is to do a minimum effort to squeeze the most out of your SEO lemons. It's the best ROI I get for my clients. I explain a little bit what we've done for these clients in the following video: This is not impossible to streamline, but it's best done on a case by case basis. It uses different data points from Google Search Console, Analytics of any kind, rankings, and other...
Half of my clients open up the SEO conversation asking about freaking backlinks. "A few months ago I paid a guy 2,000 to place some backlinks, the DR is higher now, but not the traffic." "I paid 10K to these backlink builders but nothing happened" Of course you didn't get more traffic. You want to know why? Because most backlinks sellers are arbitraging on your need to rank, and 99% of them know NOTHING about SEO. I call them a SCAM, because when they are done by these ignorants they can...
