20 SEO Articles in 4 Hours

Most Entrepreneurs can't progress in SEO because they don't plan their content.

This lack of planning comes from a lack of knowledge or time.

Most don't know that building a one—to two-month Content Roadmap should take no more than 4 hours.

If you get a good Content Roadmap, then the SEO path is easier: you get your VA or writers to publish. Totally hands-off once you've done this.

If knowledge is missing, here's a very basic Content Roadmap framework to work it out:

  • Step 1 — note down 20 content ideas on a gSheet (1h)
  • Step 2 — do keyword research for the 20 ideas —with ahrefs.com (2h)
  • Step 3 — create 20 briefs —using swiftbrief.com, put each brief on the gSheet, and put a deadline (1h)
  • Step 4 — send the sheet to your writer (1 min)

Now, let’s break this down.

BTW: this are 4 hours of planning, then you pass it down to your writers.

Step 1 — note down 20 content ideas on a gSheet (1h)

Take a sheet like and start populating it with ideas you can validate with Google Search.

I’ll use my SaaS – swiftbrief.com as an example for this.

Swiftbrief wants users interested in creating AI SEO Briefs to delegate their content production.

Naturally, my first departure keyword for this project is "SEO Briefs".

Several ideas come from my first search from the "Search suggestions" and the "People Also Ask" section:

Step 2 — Do keyword research for the 20 ideas —with ahrefs.com (2h)

Now, I want to validate these keywords with ahrefs (you can also use free software if you don't have an ahrefs account), so I copy&paste those to figure out the volume for each one of those:

From what I see above, maybe only the first three make sense. Plus, they have very low keyword difficulty, so they shouldn't be challenging to rank.

You must repeat steps 1 and 2 until you determine the 20 articles you need for your 1-2 month Content Roadmap.

After you fill out your spreadsheet, you need to start producing the SEO briefs for your writers.

ASIDE: An alternative is to just keep tweaking keywords, phrases, etc. under ahrefs, but I like doing the Google Search query to understand better the user intent and how Google is categorizing these keywords.

Step 3 — create 20 briefs

Once you have selected all your keywords, head to Swiftbrief.com.

You basically enter your selected keywords and get an SEO content brief similar to this one.

The reason you want an SEO brief is because most writers don't know a thing about SEO.

(maybe it's you? that's fine!)

A brief gives them all the SEO Structure they need to help your website rank: keyword variations, H1, H2s, H3s, Tables, Tables of contents, etc.

You'll then place all the briefs under the same sheet and assign who's writing what and the deadline. After that, you'll send it to my writers.

You should end with something similar to this, ready to share with your writers.

Step 4 — send to your writer the sheet (1 min)

That's it. Tell your writer you need the content published by the date you provided.

EXTRA - Spy Hack

If you're short on ideas or want to discover the biggest keywords from your competitors, do the following on ahrefs:

  1. Put the URL
  2. Filter by the keyword you're looking for
  3. Filter by DR from low to high, which will give you the easiest keywords to rank for

From this, I also found a few new keywords like "Content Brief Generator" and "Content Brief Template" that I can use in my content roadmap.

That's it! You have 20 articles ready to write in the next 1 to 2 months, all ready in 4 hours.

Just make sure you follow up with your writers and get them to publish the articles by the deadline.

SEO is overwhelming. There are too many options: Keyword research Tech stack Technical setup Copywriting, etc. Simplify things. Use the Epicenter as your guide. The Epicenter is your product or service. Imagine you own a pizza joint. You have a line of customers—are you sending them to your "pizza cooking classes"? No, you won't. You're selling pizza. As many of you know, I'm aiming to get 120MM clicks for my clients, or 100% YoY growth this year. So I've been looking at ways to fix all the Organic Search attribution drama. And what I found is simple for most SaaS: if a startup is not paying close attention, the attribution will made to the payment gateway (stripe or paypal), so you need to configure it properly. If you already did the setup, you should be able to track the conversions. These are the screens I check the most in GA4....

The Rank Enhancement is a simple process to help you rank higher for content published in the past. The whole idea is to do a minimum effort to squeeze the most out of your SEO lemons. It's the best ROI I get for my clients. I explain a little bit what we've done for these clients in the following video: This is not impossible to streamline, but it's best done on a case by case basis. It uses different data points from Google Search Console, Analytics of any kind, rankings, and other...
